The Success of the Inaugural Year
Initiated in 2023, Red Bull Junior Brothers offers a pathway for young, unsigned talent to take their next step in their cycling career. In collaboration with BORA – hansgrohe’s U19 team, GRENKE – Auto Eder, the program provides opportunities for promising cyclists to realise their dreams.
Opportunities for Young Talent
The 2023 season concluded with the selection of two talents, Patrick Casey from Ireland and Anatol Friedl from Austria, who have since secured contracts with BORA – hansgrohe’s U19 team, GRENKE – Auto Eder, along with Red Bull athlete partnership deals.
Both Patrick and Anatol have started their journey with Team GRENKE – Auto Eder and attended their first training camp with their teammates at Lake Garda in February.

Reflecting on his selection, Patrick Casey said, “It’s hard to believe how much has changed since last year when I first heard about the Red Bull Junior Brothers scheme. A goal of mine has always been to turn pro, but I never quite knew how to get there. Last year, we embarked on a very innovative path with the Red Bull Junior Brothers Program to find the best cycling talents worldwide. Thus, after the program’s successful launch in 2023, relaunching it this year was a logical step. I am looking forward to the outcome.”
How to Apply for Red Bull Junior Brothers
As the search for the next generation of cycling stars continues, Red Bull Junior Brothers invites aspiring young cyclists to participate in the 2024 edition of the program. Open to individuals born between 2007 and 2008, the program encourages participants to compete for a coveted spot on GRENKE – Auto Eder by signing up at redbull.com/juniorbrothers and riding on the program’s dedicated Zwift work out.
To participate, visit redbull.com/juniorbrothers and begin logging rides between March 1st to April 30th, 2024. Top performers will then be invited to the performance camp, where selected riders will undergo intensive testing in June. Ultimately, two successful applicants will be chosen to join Team GRENKE – Auto Eder and receive exclusive Red Bull athlete contracts.
