Stage 1 Recap – Road Race (June 7)

Saturday’s stage featured a rolling course with open exposure to the desert winds, adding an extra layer of difficulty for the peloton. Riders had to manage group positioning and wind tactics while saving energy for potential late-race moves.

Men’s Pro/1/2/3: Logan Unger (POA Racing) claimed victory after a decisive performance that established him as the early omnium leader. Aria Kiani (SoCalCycling.com Team) followed closely behind in second, while Jesse Hogin rounded out the podium.

Masters 50+: David Morrison (San Diego Bicycle Club) earned top honors with a strong solo effort in the final laps.

Masters 55+: Bart Clifford (E-Voke Racing) emerged as the winner, using well-timed attacks to distance himself from the competition.

Stage 2 Recap – Grand Prix (June 8)

Sunday’s criterium-style Grand Prix featured a multi-turn course through Victorville, where cornering speed, group dynamics, and sprint timing were essential for success. This stage finalized omnium standings across all categories.

Men’s Pro/1/2/3: The stage win went to Kyle Cooper (Shockwave), while Logan Unger’s consistent finishes across both days secured him the overall omnium victory.

Cat 4/5: Nathan Cohen (Ventura) displayed dominant form winning the Gran Prix and finishing the weekend with 85 points to win the omnium in his category.

Masters 35+: Kyle Cooper also won the Grand Prix stage in the 35 + and topped the omnium standings in this group, racking up 80 points thanks to a solid ride in both stages.

Masters 55+: Dennis Grobe took the stage win in the Gran Prix and Michael Morrison claimed the overall win with 69 points—narrowly edging out Otto Nebel, who finished just one point behind.
