California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill that will require drivers to give cyclists three feet of clearance per the Three Feet for Safety Act. Drivers that do not provide three feet of clearance will face being fined.

The bill will go into effect in September 2014.

This is great news for cyclists as more and more people take to the streets to enjoy their bikes and commute.
