Over the long weekend, L39ION of Los Angeles and Cory Williams made history at the Gateway Cup being the first rider to win all four days of the race series in St. Louis, Missouri. Not only did Williams take the win on each of the days, but L39ION of Los Angeles riders also completed second and third place across the series as well, making it a podium sweep.
Skylar Schneider Wins Women’s Race
In the women’s race, Skylar Schneider continued on her success streak as well, taking two wins over the weekend. It was also the first podium finish for Julyn Aguila, a strong result from our women’s team.
Schneider stated, ”L39ION had a really successful Gateway Cup. What will stand out the most in my memory will be Julyn’s first podium in L39ION colors which happened on day 3, it has been a long time coming and she deserves it. The guys made history podium sweeping all 4 days which made quite the statement. I took my 20th & 21st wins of the year.. so yes, it was a successful 4 days for the whole team!”
Amber Joseph Retains Barbad0s Titles
Meanwhile, in Barbados, L39ION’S Amber Joseph was competing in her National Championships, where she retained the Road Race title and also took the Time Trial title. Amber will proudly wear the Barbados National Championship jersey for another year, adding to the great and growing collection of national edition kits amongst the team.
