Demi Vollering Takes First Elite Road Race Rainbow Jersey for the Netherlands
Demi Vollering of the Netherlands claimed the Elite Women’s Road Race world championship after a closely contested 180-kilometer race from Brossard to Montréal. Vollering survived a late battle with Poland’s Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney before winning the two-rider sprint to secure her first elite road race rainbow jersey. Elisa Longo Borghini of Italy completed the podium in third place, four seconds behind the leading pair.

Women’s U23 Road Race
Viktória Chladoňová Leads Slovakia to First Women’s U23 Road Race World Title
Viktória Chladoňová of Slovakia won the Women’s U23 Road Race after a three-rider selection formed during the demanding Montréal circuit. Chladoňová battled Canada’s Isabella Holmgren and Belgium’s Fleur Moors in the closing stages before beating Holmgren in the final sprint. The victory gave Slovakia its first U23 women’s road race world title, while Moors finished third. American Katherine Sarkisov finished 7th,

Men’s U23 Road Race
Ashlin Barry Makes History with First U23 Men’s Road Race World Title for the United States
Ashlin Barry of the United States captured the Men’s U23 Road Race title with a long solo attack during the 174.2-kilometer championship race. Barry established his winning move in the closing portion of the race and held his advantage to the finish, earning the United States its first-ever U23 men’s road race world championship. Héctor Álvarez of Spain took silver, with Jesper Stiansen of Norway earning bronze. California’s Marcis Shelton finished in 12th place.
