You’ll find a great mix of cycling events this weekend, including Rock Cobbler 7.0 and Pebble Cobbler gravel event, the popular Tour de Palm Springs fun ride, the fast Roger Millikan Memorial Criterium and the Southridge USA Winter Series mountain bike event.
The Rock Cobbler 7.0 and Pebble Cobbler
On Saturday, February 8th, the Rock Cobbler 7.0 and Pebble Cobbler takes place in Bakersfield. Sam Ames, the promoter describes the event – “The World Famous Rock Cobbler is a stupidly hard ride bordering on a race. The Pebbler is less stupidly hard but still a true challenge. As always we are passionate and driven to showcase roads, dirt trails, gravel and a VERY challenging route not yet ridden, not yet tamed. As is tradition, the final routes are announced the week of the event. Both will be very hard but will be very fun, in a very Bakersfield Way.”
Tour de Palm Springs
On Saturday, February 8th, nearly 2,000 volunteers will provide thousands of cyclists from 46 states the cycling event of a lifetime a the Tour de Palm Springs. Foodservice trucks at lunch stops will be serving Poke bowls, meatloaf/gravy, Italian foods and other snacks included in your registration. Have you ever been cheered on by 100 cheerleaders & 40 piece band at the finish line?
Roger Millikan Memorial Criterium
This Sunday, February 9th, the Roger Millikan Memorial Criterium takes place on a fun course in Brea. This is always an early-season favorite for the racers and fans to attend and is held in memory of our old friend Roger Millikan who ran the Eldorado Crit Training Ride in the 90′s and the Valentine’s Day Massacre Crit in Brea.
Southridge USA Winter Series
The Southridge USA Winter Series provides a great event for mountain bikers to compete in Cross Country, Downhill and Enduro events at Southridge Park in Fontana on February 8th and 9th
