Numainville and Bevin Sprint to Stage Win Redlands Crit

For the second day in a row Patrick Bevin (Bissell Pro Cycling) came out victorious after a perfect leadout from his Bissell Pro Cycling teammates in front of an enthusiastic crowd in Downtown Redlands. Alex Candelario (Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly) and Carlos Eduar Alzate (Team Exergy) sprinted in for second and third respectively earning a spot on the podium.

In the women’s race, Joelle Numainville (Optum Pro Cycling / Kelly) sprinted to victory after placing second in yesterday’s Beaumont stage. Race leader Megan Guarnier (Team Tibco / To the Top) showed that she is an all-rounder and finished close on Numainville’s heels in sescond place. City of Beaumont Road Race winner Loren Rowney (Specialized – lululemon) rounded out the podium in third. Guarnier and Phil Gaimon (Kenda/5hr Energy p/b Geargrinder) will defend their lead as the Redlands Bicycle Classic wraps up on today with the challenging Sunset Road Race.
