Photos & Report: CicLAvia Rocks the Streets of LA with a Party on Wheels

Since we have never been to CicLAvia before, we thought it would be fun to finally experience it this year. We decided to make a day of celebrating cycling, since the SoCalCross Prestige Series DTLA Historic – CYCLO-VIA was held just a few blocks north of CicLAvia’s Chinatown hub in LA’s State Historic Park. The close proximity of the two events made it a no-brainer to ride down and check out CicLAvia’s festivities too.

CicLAvia was truly an amazing experience which brought cyclists of all types and genres together to take over the car free streets of LA! It was a great way to connect with other cyclists and enjoy the various parties, music, culture and check out LA’s landmarks all while riding on car free streets.

We had so much fun, we are already looking forward to the next CicLAvia in the Spring of 2013, which just so happens to start in our hometown of Claremont. Now, it really is a no-brainer to attend again! See you there!

Below are a few photos that we captured from CicLAvia. All photos are available at
