In this video, Oprah Winfrey discusses her exclusive, no-holds-barred interview with Lance Armstrong, which is titled Oprah and Lance Armstrong: The Worldwide Exclusive.
Oprah said she prepared for the interview like it was a college exam, including reading USADA’s Reasoned Decision and David Walsh’s books LA Confidential and Seven Deadly Sins, as well as watching the recent 60 MINUTES SPORTS interview with USADA’s Travis Tygart. She wanted to ask Armstrong the questions that everyone has wanted answered. All 112 Questions!
The interview ran over two and a half hours long and since Winfrey did not want to leave anything on the cutting room floor, the interview has expanded to air as a two-night event on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter will air Thursday, January 17, from 9 to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT (as previously announced) and Friday, January 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The interview will be simultaneously streamed LIVE worldwide both nights on Oprah.com.
