KHS-Maxxis p/b JAKROO Cycling Team Announces 2014 Program

iPA-Sports announced that long time sponsor and partner KHS Bicycles has become title sponsor of the previously branded CashCall Mortgage Cycling Team. Along with Maxxis Tires and JAKROO Custom Apparel, the team will formally be known as the KHS-Maxxis presented by JAKROO. KHS Bicycles will be providing the team with custom colored Flite Team carbon frames paired with the KHS Pro full-monocoque fork.

“The iPA-Sports program is a great showcase for our Flite Team road bikes as well as the entire KHS brand,” says Wayne D., Vice President of KHS. “The passion and excellence shown by the team over the last two years has encouraged KHS to take a leading role in supporting the program. We are excited to be working with both the men and women athletes of the program.” Again, as in 2013, KHS Bicycles will produce a Flite 900 ‘team replica’ bicycle which can be purchased through any local KHS retailer.

The team’s racing schedule will focus on USA Cycling National Racing Calendar (NRC) events as well as the USA Crits Series. The new KHS-Maxxis p/b JAKROO team will continue with the same proven formula that propelled the team to win over 80 races in the last three seasons.

“I see so many talented athletes that need support and guidance to really flourish,” says iPASports President, Paul Abrahams. “The goal of our program has always been, and will continue to be, to develop the next generation of cycling professionals.”

In addition to a full racing schedule, the KHS-Maxxis p/b JAKROO team will be participating in community events at races throughout the season. The team will visit KHS Bicycle dealers nationwide as well as take part in hospital visits, bike safety clinics, and school presentations in an effort to support race organizers and share our passion for cycling with hosting communities. Every KHS-Maxxis p/b JAKROO rider is excited to be in the cycling community in a bigger way than simply pushing the pedals.

“Our racing program has always been about producing well rounded athletes that understand what it takes to be a successful athlete as well as being a positive ambassador for our sport. This is why bicycle shop visits, school assemblies, and other community events have always been an important component of our team. 2014 will see this notion emphasized at an even higher level,” says Paul Abrahams.

The 2014 season has been made possible due to the generous support of the following sponsors: KHS Bicycles, Maxxis tires, JAKROO Custom Apparel, Velo Saddles, Xpedo Pedals, Shimano, iRT Wheels, Rudy Project, Serfas, Praxis Works, Q2, Hammer Nutrition, Rennie and Associates, WD40 Bike, Bike Religion, Chamois Butt’r, and iPA Sports.
