Barrio Logan Grand Prix

The 18th Annual Barrio Logan Grand Prix takes place May 3rd in Downtown San Diego near Petco Park and the Gaslamp District on one of Southern California’s “Classic Old School Downtown Figure 8 Criterium Courses!”

Race Director and Race Announcer Ralph Elliott said,”The 18th annual Barrio Logan Grand Prix on Saturday May 3, 2014, is only a week away and you don’t want to miss it! Morgan Gold has signed on as the Title Sponsor and General Dynamics NASSCO and the Port of San Diego are back again this year as Presenting Sponsors.Thank you!”

Elliott added,”We have a $9000 prize List and races for everyone including the Jerry Rimoldi Memorial Masters 55/60+ combo and the Audrey McElmury Women’s Pro1/2/3, “old time” members of SDBC that passed away recently. Also, we are featuring the Junior’s again with the SCNCA Junior Criterium Championships, plus the Pro 1/2 Men, Cat 5 Men, Cat 4 Men, Cat 3/4 Women, Cat 3/4 Men, and our always popular Kid’s Races age’s 3 to 12.”

San Diego and the Barrio Logan area offer many things to do as Elliott explained, “Come on down to Historic Barrio Logan and race or cheer on your teammates on an “old school” downtown figure 8 criterium course with something for everyone do to, including the Logan Heights Family Health Center Health Fair just off the race course! If the bicycle races are not fast enough for you, then race your friends on the brand new K-1 Speed go-carts right on our race course! Then that evening enjoy the Padres Game at Petco Park! It’s going to be a GREAT DAY!”
