The international cycling event the Baja Bike Race, which is located in Baja California, Mexico, is set for this weekend on June 21. The route takes you through the gorgeous Baja wine country from the city of Tecate to the city of Ensenada with a total mileage count of 73 miles. The Baja Bike Race is a full race and fun ride for all.
Cyclists from all over in five countries will be joining the Baja Bike Race for the events first year back in over 20 years. The Tecate to Ensenada route has history dating back to 1970 and was one of the largest cycling events in Baja California and the SoCal region. At its peak, it hit 15,500 participants.
This year, the Baja Bike Race will be offering a $3,000 prize purse, a 20 oz special edition beer for all first place finishers, a beer mug trophy for all top 3 finishers, and celebratory beer for all finishers over the age of 18.
