San Diego AFCEA STEM Bike Ride – Saturday, April 30, 2016

“The San Diego chapter of the Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is pleased to announce the second inaugural Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarship ride. Last year our course took a metric century route from historic San Juan Capistrano along the coast to beautiful San Diego bay. This year we will do an out-and back half century along similar terrain but allowing us to return to where we parked out cards. This 50 mile route is easily shortened to 25 miles or extended to 75 miles if desired.

The registration fee of $100 includes a donation to fund scholarships for SOCAL youth attending college in majors that are related to the STEM Fields. Last year the AFCEA SD Chapter gave away more than $76,000 in scholarship and grant money to 43 students and several teachers who were applying their learning to develop talents in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Your participation in the San Diego AFCEA Stem Bike Ride will help continue scholarships in these challenging fields.”
