Southern California was well represented at the  Elite Women’s World Championships Road Race in Doha Qatar  with Coryn Rivera (Tustin, CA), Amber Neben (Lake Forest, CA) and Alexis Ryan (Ventura, CA) flying the US colors.
On the final lap, newly crowned Time Trial World Champion Amber Neben (BEPINK) made a solo attack but was later caught. After a hard fought battle for the rainbow jersey, Coryn Rivera (UHC) rode to a top 20 finish finishing 16th in a field sprint to the line.
Three -time Junior World Champion Amalie Dideriksen (DEN) took the win and rainbow jersey. Kirsten Wild (NED) finished second and Lotta Lepisto (FIN) was third.
