TRAIL GETS BIGGER
Natural progression leads us to more aggressive trails. The Orbea Occam TR & AM offers more travel, larger tires, extra stability and more opportunity for riders with MyO Lite customization. The 2018 Occam TR & AM checks all the boxes.
The Occam TR gets more aggressive with a 130mm fork, sturdier rubber and wider rims. Orbea offer products “outside the box” and has redesigned the rear triangle to create a highly-anticipated 27 PLUS model. Run 29″x2.4″ tires or 27″ x 3.0″, Occam TR is ready when the trail gets bigger.
The Occam AM steps up to 150mm travel with a slacker 66.5º head angle and wider rims, making even the toughest terrain faster and more fun. The new Fox Float DPX2 gives more sophisticated damping that you’ll need when the trail gets bigger.
Orbea Occam AM
TR/AM The TR/AM Trail Geometry concept divides the Occam family into Occam TR and Occam AM models. Shorter travel TR models take advantage of fast-rolling 29” wheels while the AM varieties pack more bump-eating suspension into a manageable size using 27.5” wheels. Orbea’s consistent and proportional stack and reach measurements guarantee that every rider experiences flawless handling in a svelte, fun and fast bike regardless of frame size or wheel size.
We use the most technologically advanced carbon construction available to make the most sophisticated frame possible – A complex and painstaking process with results you will appreciate on the trail.
Advanced Dynamics is not a design, but a development process. Orbea’s unique method transforms virtual models into real, highly-refined machines – Bikes for demanding riders that are faster, more fun to ride and far beyond ordinary.
The leverage ratio curve of the Occam is perfect for efficient trail riding.
Orbea Occam TR
Orbea has done away with the pivot point at the rear axle. The flexible seat stay design creates an ultralight bike that requires little maintenance and offers stiffness and acceleration like you’ve never felt in a full suspension bike. UFO saves over 140g and results in a faster Occam.
Occam is precise and responsive with 425 AM / 435mm TR chainstays and the excellent rigidity of a 12mm through-axle system. The Boost 148 standard widens rear axle spacing to 148mm which moves the chainline outboard by 3mm and increases the space available at the bottom bracket.
Doble duty 27+ / 29
Doble duty packs two bikes into one platform. Choose between 27+ and 29” wheelsizes in the same frame. 27+ tires are wider than traditional tires and are much higher volume, meaning they can be run at lower pressures. This allows Plus tires to go where regular tires can´t, easily, handling light mud and snow or sand, greatly expanding the terrain you can cover.
