Echelon Development and GS Andiamo are excited to announce a partnership through the Fast Freddie Foundation to form Team California and Team California Juniors. The vision of the project is simple, to excite kids to ride bikes. Each of the programs have been pushing this idea forward independently in unique ways. Coupling these organizations creates a synergy that will provide multiple routes of entry into the sport and streamline pathway development from the youngest age riders to U25 development riders seeking professional contracts.
GS Andiamo Director Sean Wilson, Ph.D. is highly enthusiastic about the partnership, stating “We are excited to be working with AJ Kennedy / Echelon Devo and the partnership he has with the Fast Freddie Foundation that created Team California. This helps to provide new developmental pathway opportunities for aspiring riders on the west coast”.
GS Andiamo will continue with its mission to instill a love of cycling in young cyclists and build their capacity. Select riders will be invited to form Team California Juniors. These athletes will be given opportunities to train and race with their peers on the U25 development squad throughout the year, providing them exposure to the network of professionals that can assist them in their career development.
Team California under the direction of AJ Kennedy, Freddie Rodriguez and Echelon Development will continue the developmental process, building the next generation of elite riders in California, providing skills that will enable them to successfully join the professional ranks and create personal success in their lives. Partnering with the Fast Freddie Foundation provides additional, and unique, opportunities for riders as they will join with Freddie at various charity events he participates in throughout California during the course of the year. The rosters of both teams are anticipated to be released in upcoming weeks.
