AEG, presenter of the 14th annual Amgen Tour of California, has partnered for the eighth consecutive year with NBC Sports and A.S.O., owner and producer of the Tour de France, to bring America’s only UCI WorldTour cycling race live to fans around the world via NBC, NBCSN and livestreamed via NBC Sports Gold’s “Cycling Pass,” as well as on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected TVs. NBC Sports Gold’s 2018-19 “Cycling Pass” gives fans in the U.S. access to premiere cycling races through the 2019 spring cycling season, concluding in June.
Additionally, the Amgen Tour of California has made it easy for fans to stay connected to the racing action from anywhere via the free Amgen Tour of California app for mobile and desktop, and free online streaming. Fans can download the app or visit www.amgentourofcalifornia.com for up-to-the-minute, comprehensive race information and live action of each stage.
From May 12-18, 2019, 19 men’s teams of elite professional cyclists will contest 773 miles of California’s most scenic highways, mountain roads and coastline highways from Sacramento to Pasadena. The simultaneous Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race empowered with SRAM will feature 16 teams, kicking off in Ventura on May 16, then running concurrently to also finish May 18 in Pasadena. Both events welcome back past race champions, World Champions, Olympic medalists and Tour de France Stage Winners to an annual event that has become known as a launch pad for cyclists both domestically and internationally.
NBC Sports and A.S.O. will once again collaborate to produce the telecast and broadcast the excitement of the largest professional stage race in the U.S., including more than 17 hours of live coverage on NBCSN and the exciting conclusion of both the men’s and women’s races live from Pasadena on NBC, where the race champions will be determined. A.S.O. will again distribute the live feed to international broadcast partners in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

In addition to nightly women’s race recaps that will post to the race’s youtube channel <https://www.youtube.com/user/AmgenTourofCali> around 8 p.m. PDT, NBC Sports will present a comprehensive highlight show featuring extensive coverage of the Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race empowered with SRAM on Thurs., May 23 at 9 pm PDT/midnight EDT on NBCSN.
NBC Sports Group
NBC Sports Group’s cycling commentators Phil Liggett and Bob Roll will call the action along with field reporter Steve Schlanger and former Amgen Tour of California participant Christian Vande Velde. ‘Inside-the-Race’ correspondent Steve Porino will report from aboard a motorcycle on the course, offering updates on race situations. Jens Voigt, who had three career top-10 Amgen Tour of California finishes and is the co-record holder for most Tour de France starts (17), returns for his fifth year as a featured analyst and reporter.

Amgen Tour of California App for Mobile and Desktop
The Amgen Tour of California app for mobile and desktop (or at www.amgentourofcalifornia.com) provides up-to-the-minute, comprehensive information on the largest cycling competition in America is free of charge via iTunes, Google Play and the Apple and Android app stores. It will feature daily live video coverage of the final two hours of each stage, live race situation updates, full location data and up-to-the-minute text commentary throughout the race. Fans don’t have to miss a moment with Web DVR features such as stop and rewind on live coverage and video on demand clips of the race and stage recaps after each day’s finish. Viewers can also access maps and profiles with live location of the peloton, breaks and chase groups and KOM and Sprint ETA and results, and daily photo galleries and video recaps with highlights from the women’s and men’s events.

“Rolling with the Tour,” a behind-the-scenes look at the race, will be hosted by sports commentator Laura Winter and Voxwomen, the online women’s cycling channel.
