Late Season State Cycling Championship Events Get Underway


SCNCA Road Race State Championships

The cycling championship season is here!  Get ready for some fast and competitive racing as SoCal’s top bike racers vie for the prestigious State Championship jersey and the chance to wear the jersey in upcoming cycling events for the next year.

With a later than normal start to the 2021 bike race season due to the pandemic, the State Championships are taking place in mid and late September which should offer some nice racing weather.

SCNCA Road Race State Championships

This weekend, Majestic Cycling is hosting the SCNCA Road Race State Championships in Victorville, CA with Championship races for the Master’s Women, Super Masters and Juniors on Saturday. On Sunday, the Master’s Men, Elite Men and Elite Women will be throwing down for a chance to win the jersey and title.

Only USA citizens or permanent residents holding an annual USA Cycling license and residing in the SCNCA region are eligible for championships titles, but the event will be open to anyone to compete. Members of UCI road teams are not eligible for road championships unless there is a separate class for them.

SCNCA Criterium State Championships

On Sunday, September 2, the California State Criterium Championships will be held by California Bicycle Racing in conjunction with the CBR Dominguez Hills Criterium SERIES 5 of 7 in Dominguez Hills.

Anyone is welcome to race, but the championship titles are awarded only to annual license holders in the SCNCA
district.
