The 3rd edition of the Belgian Waffle Ride Utah gravel event was held this past Saturday in Cedar City, Utah and gave riders a chance to race on a mostly gravel, sand and rock route, at altitude, against some of the best cyclists.
The Waffle Race featured a 130-mile course, which with roughly 7,860 feet of undulating climbs. The course had a variety of different surfaces; gravel, single track, rocky trails, sandy sections and even some asphalt. The Wafer Race featured a shorter, but still challenging distance of 81-Miles with 3,823 feet of climbing.
After a hard day of racing, Peter Stetina (Case of Nightly Waffle Sweats) won the Pro Men’s race and Whitney Allison (Bike Sports) won the Pro Women’s race.
