The Redlands Bicycle Classic wrapped up on Sunday with the final stage – the grueling Sunset Road Race which traversed the hills of Redlands.
In the Pro Women’s race, the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team’s Coryn Rivera won for the second day in a row, after previously winning the Criterium.
In the Pro Men’s race, a breakaway of five riders escaped the field, but Race Leader Phil Gaimon’s Optum Team rode on the front to bring back the break and delivered him to the line still in yellow. Sebastian Haedo (Jamis Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home) took the win after some aggressive finishing laps which entertained the crowd.
In addition, the Redlands Downtown Criterium offered amateurs a chance to race on a great downtown course on Sunday. Eamon Lucas (Team IRT Racing) won the Pro 1/2 race from a three man break.
