The 18th Annual Tour de Murrieta kicked off the 2023 Omnium with the Downtown Grand Prix pb by The Mill Restaurant. The Tour de Murrieta is a well-run two-day community cycling event and festival that is a favorite for riders and fans to attend each year.
The Downtown Grand Prix festival was accompanied by an expo consisting of bicycle industry products, food and beverages, and a bicycle safety booth hosted by the California Highway Patrol and the Stage 2 Cycling Team.
The racing was fast throughout the day. In the Pro men’s race, Cory Williams (L39ion of LA) narrowly out sprinted Theo Obholzer (SoCalCycling.com Team) who finished 2nd. Ryan Gorman (Mikes Bikes) rounded out the podium with 3rd.
