Meet EF Pro Cycling’s 2026 Roster
Reinventing Professional Cycling in 2026
An Athlete-Driven Approach Across Road, Gravel, and Cyclocross
EF Pro Cycling enters the 2026 season with a clear mission.
The team’s roster of young racers and established stars is set to launch into 2026 with the goal of continuing to reinvent professional cycling. From the pits of Belgian cyclocross to the Tour de France, Unbound Gravel to the Giro d’Italia, and cycling’s historic monuments to the revived Philadelphia Cycling Classic, EF Pro Cycling’s men’s, women’s, and development squads are positioned to exceed expectations through an athlete-driven approach to the sport.
World Champion Momentum
Magdeleine Vallieres Extends Contract Through 2028
In 2025, Magdeleine Vallieres stunned the cycling world with a world championship victory in Kigali. Vallieres has raced in EF colors since the start of her professional career. Following her rainbow jersey win, she extended her contract with the team through 2028.
Breakout Star of the Tour de France
Ben Healy’s Rise With EF Education-EasyPost
Ben Healy emerged as one of the standout riders of the 2025 Tour de France, earning a stage victory, spending two days in the maillot jaune, and launching a memorable attack on Mont Ventoux. Healy joined EF Education-EasyPost as a neo-pro in 2022, with the team recognizing his potential early and providing the freedom and support needed for him to develop into one of the most exciting riders of his generation.
Leaders, Veterans, and Emerging Talent
EF Pro Cycling’s Depth for Grand Tours and Classics
EF Pro Cycling’s next generation of talent is waiting in the wings. In 2026, these riders will have the opportunity to step into the spotlight alongside established leaders such as Healy and Vallieres. With riders including Richard Carapaz, Kristen Faulkner, Neilson Powless, and Cédrine Kerbaol anchoring the roster, the team enters the season with strong ambitions across the grand tours and classics.
Racing to Win, Not to Place
EF Education-Oatly’s Aggressive Philosophy
EF Education-Oatly general manager Esra Tromp said:
For this season, we have a plan built around the DNA of our team, which is daring to race and daring to win and not being afraid to go all in and lose everything,
She emphasized that the team will prioritize aggressive racing over conservative results, aiming to create value for sponsors while accelerating rider development through bold racing strategies.
It’s all about going out there and having fun and creating something really cool in the races. We will race really aggressively. We will not wait and be conservative to end up 15th or second or sixth. For us, that is not important. We will go all in and see if we can win races and create value for our sponsors and value for the development of our riders.
Attacking Racing All Season Long
Opening Up Races Through Creativity and Risk
Throughout the season, EF Pro Cycling will actively look for opportunities to attack and animate races.
Team founder Jonathan Vaughters explained:
We’re the team that is there to win with style,” Vaughters said. “We entertain, because we are genuinely trying to make the race different to try to win it. We try to win by exploiting the seams in the fabric, finding the weak spot in the fabric, right where the seam is. If you cut through that, it’s the easiest point. Nobody else is thinking that way.
Building the Next Generation of Champions
EF Pro Cycling’s Development-First Model
EF Pro Cycling’s approach to athlete development remains a defining feature of the organization. Ahead of the 2026 season, the team recruited several highly regarded young riders, including Auke De Buysser and Mattia Agostinacchio, who joined directly from the junior ranks. The team views their progression as a long-term process, emphasizing patience and steady development.
Both Vaughters and Tromp draw on their own experiences as former professional racers to guide younger athletes through the challenges of elite-level cycling.
Athlete Health, Happiness, and Performance
Mental Well-Being and Nutrition at the Core
Tromp added:
Over the past two years, we really focused on developing happy, healthy athletes,” Tromp said. “We want our athletes to be happy on and off the bike. We offer them good psychological support and put a real focus on nutrition and health. That produced a lot of results last season, and I’m sure that will also be the case over the coming seasons.
The EF Education-Aevolo Pipeline
Young Riders Progressing Toward the WorldTour
Vaughters has expressed confidence in the team’s development pipeline, including EF Education-Aevolo recruits such as Roberto Capello, Peyton Burckel, and Juan Felipe Rodriguez, believing they are on track to compete for victories at the highest level of the sport.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The Future of EF Pro Cycling Starts Now
Vaughters explained:
Could 2026 be spectacular? It could.” Vaughters said. “I’m taking a long view on that and understanding that we have recruited the best talent out there. That isn’t going to necessarily pop into the limelight immediately. We have to allow them time to organically grow. But I know that the team from a long-term perspective will grow and take some really big steps forward toward some really big performances, which is what we’re ultimately after.
