Cylance Pro Cycling announced the addition of Kaitie Antonneau to the Cylance Pro Cycling roster for the 2017 road season. Already a successful Cannondale cyclocross athlete for the past six years, Antonneau’s addition to the Women’s World Tour team is a natural step in her evolution as a talented multi-discipline rider while also providing her the opportunity to continue to ride Cannondale.
Known for her power and tenacity, Antonneau has achieved impressive results worldwide in both road and cyclocross disciplines. A Wisconsin native and only 24 years old, Antonneau has raced bikes for 14 years. Recently finishing her degree in Exercise Science, Antonneau is now able to focus solely on racing. “Antonneau has a wide range of abilities to use on any terrain and is already a great part of the Cannondale family,” said Manel Lacambra, Director Sportif of Cylance Pro Cycling.
Antonneau illustrated her unique capacity to shine both on road and dirt consistently throughout 2016. She won a stage of the Cascade Cycling Classic, was the top USA finisher in the Cyclocross World Championships, and delivered a solid 2nd place finish at the Valkenburg Cyclocross World Cup. Antonneau is also a three-time winner of the U23 National Road Championships as well as a multi-time collegiate national champion. Fresh into the 2017 cyclocross season, Antonneau has won Rochester CX and the Trek CXC Cup. She also had a solid podium finish in the Jinglecross World Cup race.
“With a roster of talented athletes and unique personalities, Kaitie is an ideal fit for Cylance Pro Cycling,” says Jonathan Geran, Director of Sports Marketing for Cannondale. “We can’t wait to see Kaitie and the team racing the Woman’s World Tour in 2017.”
In their ongoing support for the growth and promotion of women’s cycling, Cannondale and Cylance Pro Cycling are a perfect team. The addition of Antonneau to the team speaks to Cylance Pro Cycling’s encouragement of athletes seeking to achieve their multi-disciplinary goals, while Cannondale continues to showcase the power of bikes on all terrains.
