SoCal’s longest running cyclocross event, the Turkey Trot ‘Cross, once again drew a good crowd of racers and fans to Verdugo Park in Glendale. As the 9th edition of this race, it’s become almost as much of a Thanksgiving tradition as turkey, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes. This was Round 11 of the 2012-13 SoCalCross Prestige Series. Next weekend, December 1-2, is CXLA at Los Angeles State Historic Park. With two days of UCI racing (including Junior Men for the first time ever), the Cross After Dark Series Finale and the Single Speed CX World Championships, this will be one of the most important, action-packed and entertaining cyclocross events ever seen in this region. Seven rounds remain this season, which ends January 6, 2013, with the Series Finals in Los Angeles.
