Throughout my cycling career, I have been blessed with parts and components throughout my journey in racing and training. When I received the new Vision Trimax 30 KB Wheelset on our new Bottecchia Team bikes I was awed by how incredible the wheels ride. This was a very unexpected surprise. I have been riding the new SoCalCycling.com Bottecchia Emme 4 team bike for several weeks now and I have nothing but positive reviews for the Vision Triimax 30 KB wheels that I have equipped on my team bike. The Vision Trimax 30 KB Wheels handle very well when you are cornering as they feel very stable stiff in the corners. They are also very lightweight for when it is time to hit the climbs when needing to accelerate in or out of the saddle due to their weight and stiffness.
The Vision Trimax 30 KB wheels use a wider rim which allows you to use wider tires. They are also tubeless-ready. I also like that the Vision Trimax 30 KB wheels don’t have a silver braking surface as they use a Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation surface treatment which gives the wheels an extra clean look and it improves the braking performance in the rain.
The hubs roll extremely smooth and accelerate well as they use six sealed cartridge bearings two in the front and four in the rear. The spokes are aero black, anodized, lightweight, bladed and attached to light adjustable hubs for the front and rear. The engagement for the freewheel body is very responsive when going from coasting to pedaling for a quick response when propelling forward.
These Vision Trimax 30 KB wheels feel like a custom set of wheels that you would want to build on your own, but Vision has taken all of the guessing and hard work out of trying to build these on your own to provide an exceptional ride as a great all-around wheelset for various terrains. They are great for racing, Gran Fondos and training.
The Vision Trimax 30 KB wheels are amazing wheels that I have easily fallen in love and will continue to use during any competition or training rides.
The Vision Trimax 30 KB wheels are Shimano, SRAM and FSA 11 speed cog compatible.
