Santini and UCI Launch Design Contest for the Rainbow Jersey of the Future
Celebrating the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling World Championships in Zurich
In honor of the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships taking place in Zurich, Switzerland, Santini Cycling and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) have announced an exciting design contest titled “Design the UCI Rainbow Jersey of the Future.”
A Unique Opportunity for Creativity
Open to everyone – from professional graphic designers to cycling enthusiasts – this competition offers a chance to create a future vision of the iconic rainbow jersey. The winning design will be turned into a unique, exclusive piece to be gifted to the winner by Santini Cycling.
How to Enter the Competition
The contest runs from September 20 to September 29, 2024, closing at 23:59 CET. Participants can submit their designs via social media or at Santini stands located at various event sites during the championships.
Design Guidelines and Requirements
Designers are encouraged to explore their creativity but must respect the tradition of the jersey’s signature rainbow stripes. The design must maintain the five official colors – blue, red, black, yellow, and green – in their traditional sequence.
Submission and Evaluation Process
Designers can download the official template online and submit their entries by the deadline. The winning design will be selected by a prestigious jury featuring UCI Director General Amina Lanaya, UCI Brand and Design Manager Fabio Zeppetella, CEO of Santini Cycling Monica Santini, Marketing Director Paola Santini, and professional cyclist Elisa Balsamo.
Announcement of the Winner and the Grand Prize
The winner will be notified via email on Thursday, October 10, 2024. The winning jersey, featuring the chosen design, will be produced as a one-of-a-kind item by Santini and sent to the winner, along with exclusive products from the Santini x UCI line.
