Cannondale is Looking to Hire Savvy Consumer for the Tour De France
5/9/11 - Cannondale, a leading manufacturer of high-performance bicycles for more than 40 years, is looking for one lucky person to join them just in time for cycling’s most prominent race. The brand is providing one consumer the job of a lifetime working behind the scenes with the Team Liquigas-Cannondale pro-cycling race team for one week at the 2011 Tour de France.
Beginning Monday, May 2, consumers can access Cannondale’s official Facebook page and submit a one to two-minute video explaining why they’re the most qualified to serve as Team Liquigas-Cannondale’s newest addition. Hopefuls must highlight the following in their video submission:
- How the sport of cycling has impacted your life.
- Your most memorable moment from the Tour de France.
- A bike MUST be visual somewhere in the video shoot (it doesn’t have to be a Cannondale)
The top entrants will be selected and reposted for fans to vote on, with final voting taking place on Cannondale‘s Facebook and Peloton Magazine’s Facebook pages.
“The Tour de France is the iconic cycling race and the chance to be behind the scenes with Cannondale experiencing it with the best team is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Bob Burbank, General Manager, Cannondale.
In addition to free hotel and airfare, the grand prize winner also receives the following:
- Cannondale SuperSix with SRAM drivetrain - what the professionals ride.
- SUGOI kit (includes a cycling jersey and bib shorts).
- Year subscription to Peloton Magazine.
Second through tenth place finishers receive a SUGOI kit, as well as a one year subscription to Peloton Magazine.
The 98th running of the Tour de France features 21 overall stages that cover 3,460 km (2,150 miles). The Tour de France officially kicks off on Saturday, July 2 in Passage du Gois and concludes July 24 on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on July 24.
