2007 Indio Grand Prix & Healthy Lifestyle Festival Announced
Inaugural Event to be Held in Indio, California
3/20/07 - K&L Sports Group and the city of Indio California today announced the inaugural 2007 Indio Grand Prix & Healthy Lifestyle Festival. The Grand Prix will be showcased in Downtown Indio on a closed 1 mile course, Saturday march 31st 2007. The event will feature both Men’s and Women’s professional races.
The 2007 Indio Grand Prix is a new event developed in partnership with USA Cycling, the national governing body for the sports and the SCNCA “Southern California Nevada Cycling Association”. The race will become one of the cornerstones of American cycling and will attract top teams and athletes from around the country. Furthermore, the event will showcase the historic Coachella Valley’s scenery and attractions.
The City of Indio is the Host of the 2007 Indio Grand Prix and will showcase bicycle racing for the first time event. “Over 60 Million Americans participate regularly in cycling each year. I think it’s great! This event offers the world’s best cyclists. We designed a beautiful course and we look forward to bringing a beautiful sporting event to the City of Indio,” said Keith Bartleson, event race Director and one of the founders of K & L Sports Group.
