SLR State Road Race Championships is back!

The 35th edition of the San Luis Rey (SLR) Road Race is in the same beautiful location

After a 3 year absence because of the Covid pandemic, Celo Pacific cycling club is proud to bring back the SLR CA State Road Race Championships! The 35th edition of the San Luis Rey (SLR) Road Race is in the same beautiful location in North San Diego County and will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023. The SLR Road Race will be the host of the SCNCA State Road Race Championships for Elite Pro/1/2, Cat 3, and Masters categories.

There will be prize money for the Pro/1/2 fields, some product giveaways, and California State Champion jerseys for all winners. Free onsite bike support is provided by top mechanics from Wrench House Cyclery. The food truck is back by popular demand for post-race chow!

Just a short drive from Orange and LA County, the SLR road race will take place over multiple out-and-back laps of a 14-mile course with an undulating 400′ climb over the last 2 miles. Categories will be offered for all levels of competitors–from juniors and beginners to professionals.

This is a must-do A Race, one of only a few road races left in SoCal! So come on out, and enjoy some great racing in one of SoCal’s classic events!
