MOTOR TABS™ Sports Drink Signs
Eight Domestic Road Teams
TUSTIN, Cal.(February 20, 2007) – Sports Engine LLC’s MOTOR TABS™ Fluid Replacement System recently signed sponsorship agreements to be the official sports tablet for eight professional and elite, domestic road cycling teams for the 2007 campaign:

“Sponsorship is an integral part of our marketing platform,” Greg Sellers, Sports Engine’s manager, said. “After launching into the multi-sport realm in 2006, our next step is to align the brand with the top road programs in 2007 and beyond.”
Sports Engine will support an additional 10 masters road teams regionally throughout the country, including the powerful MOTOR TABS Cycling squad based near the brand’s Southern California headquarters. MOTOR TABS Cycling recently added two crafty veterans to its lineup: Jason Bausch and Jamie Paolinetti will don the black, white and red MOTOR TABS colors this year, providing solid leadership and tactical expertise. Other Southern California-based teams using MOTOR TABS this season include Criminal Minds Cycling and Canyon Velo. In addition, the brand continues its support of a stable of pro and elite amateur triathletes, including 2006 Ironman world champion Michellie Jones, who won the race in Hawaii’s punishing climate drinking MOTOR TABS.
MOTOR TABS, the sports nutrition industry’s front-running sports drink tablet, will provide product and branded bottles to all of its teams for the 2007 season. MOTOR TABS bottles are unique in that they feature the numbers 1, 1.5 and 2 imprinted on them, making it easy for riders to get the correct strength drink in their bottles, as some riders prefer one tablet, others one-and-a-half and still others use two tabs per bottle. Soigneurs may easily circle the correct ‘strength’ with a permanent marker, ensuring that each rider gets his or her proper tab/water combination.
Designed for endurance athletes, each 20 gram tablet delivers 250 milligrams of sodium, 75 milligrams of potassium, 16 grams of carbohydrate (dextrose, sucrose and maltodextrin). MOTOR TABS’ air-tight, waterproof, individual packaging makes for clean, easy bottle refilling during training and racing. Dissolution takes just a few minutes and there’s no need to shake the bottle. With no residual settling, cleaning bottles and hydration systems is quick and easy, too. They’re offered in fruit punch, lemon-lime and orange flavors.
