SPY-Swamis Development Team Is Recruiting Riders

SPY-Swamis is looking to expand and augment its Development Team program for 2013 and is currently recruiting development (U25) riders who aspire to elevate their racing with an eye toward racing at the professional level.

The SPY-Swamis Development Team is a fully supported team with a mission to provide the support and guidance to enable SoCal’s best young riders to reach their full potential.

The team will race the regional circuit plus several national caliber events including Redlands, Gila, Sea Otter, Merco, Hood, Cascade and Nationals that are selected to further the rider’s development and showcase their abilities to the pro-team directors.

Generous sponsorship from Spy Optic, SKLZ, BH Bikes, Capo Cycling Apparel, RIDE Cyclery (Encinitas, CA) and the backing of the 200+ strong Swamis membership allow the team to fully support the riders with entry fees, travel expenses and professional grade equipment including race ready bikes from BH, performance and lifestyle eyewear from Spy Optic, kits from Capo, race wheels, helmets and nutrition products.  In 2013, the SPY-Swamis Development Team will also introduce an innovative incentive program to reward team and individual performances at targeted events with cash equipment and additional travel.  Finally, the team will help enable qualified riders to attend regional and national USAC development camps.

Category 1 and 2 U25 and junior racers from the SoCal region who have a burning desire to train and race hard to reach their potential are encouraged to submit their race resume to [email protected].  Be sure to include USAC License #, 2013 race age and a brief description of your goals.
