In only the second year of racing, the Southern California based American Interbanc/Cannondale MTB team is pleased to announce the addition of Ben Sonntag. For 2013 the Durango based endurance mountain biking specialist returns to the starting line focused on the podium.
“I am really excited about joining the American Interbanc/Cannondale team and even more excited to be back racing on Cannondale bicycles again. I’ve raced Cannondale’s for the majority of my mountain biking career and feel at home on my new Scalpel 29’er and F29’er. I have some big races on my radar for 2013 and so far we’re off to a great start sitting 3rd overall in the Pro XCT Series and a finishing 4th last week in the Whiskey 50” Sonntag said.
Sonntag has groomed himself over the years into one of the best endurance stage racers in North America. An incredibly diverse and Über-talented German, Sonntag’s resume is impressive to say the least. With wins at the mind-altering La Ruta de los Conquistadores, Breck-Epic and podiums at countless top-tier events throughout the United States and the World, Sonntag is a serious threat to win anytime he lines up.
“We are excited to have a rider of Ben’s caliber flying the American Interbanc / Cannondale team colors, and showcasing the performance of Cannondale bicycles.” team manager Jon Hornbeck said.
American Interbanc / Cannondale is made up of an incredibly diverse group of dead serious pro and expert category racers along with numerous seasoned veterans planning on mixing it up at events throughout Southern California this coming season.
