While fans await the Amgen Tour of California and the Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race empowered with SRAM cyclists at the finish line, they can partake in the race’s popular Lifestyle Festival (held in conjunction with the race May 12-18). Designed to provide and promote healthy lifestyle and cycling-related experiences, the Lifestyle Festival offers a day of no-cost entertainment and fun for everyone, from families to first-time race visitors to veteran fans as part of one of the country’s largest sporting event.
From May 12-18, 2019, 19 men’s teams of elite professional cyclists will contest 773 miles of California’s most scenic highways, mountain roads and coastlines from Sacramento to Pasadena. The simultaneous women’s event will feature 16 teams, kicking off in Ventura on May 16, then running concurrently to also finish May 18 in Pasadena.
The Lifestyle Festival is an engaging space for spectators to congregate near the day’s finish line with more than 40 exhibitors, family activities, food and drink, live race streaming on large video screens, cancer and cardiovascular awareness education and more.

Strider Races are free local race and play experiences designed to let kids ages 2 to 5 explore the world on two wheels and participate in some friendly competitive riding. Stop by the Lexus Ride and Drive experience in Pasadena Sat., May 18 between 10 a.m. and race finish for a 15-20 minute passenger or driver experience via a Performance Drive featuring the LC, GS F and RC F or a Luxury Drive featuring the LS, ES, UX and RX. Drive participants must be at least 21 years of age with a current, valid driver’s license and closed-toed shoes (no high heels). Must be 18 years of age or older to ride as a passenger. Rides will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
SRAM is the exclusive bike component partner of the 2019 Amgen Tour of California. Visitors can experience the latest in SRAM road technology in the SRAM booth at the Lifestyle Festival expo area May 11 in downtown Sacramento, May 17 on the Mt. Baldy climb, and May 19 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Visit an exciting new addition to the Lifestyle Festival this year, the Amgen Tour of California Fan Headquarters, to enter a flyaway sweepstakes to the Tour de France finale in Paris, complete with money-can’t-buy access for two to the viewing platform atop the Arc de Triomphe. Visitors are encouraged to stop by with questions and to learn more about the race, experience a “day in the life of a cyclist” exhibit, and learn how to get more involved in the sport by connecting with USA Cycling.
