Mountain Biking’s Best Freeriders Conquer the Rugged Cliffs of Virgin, Utah
Add some action to your holiday season as the world’s premier freeride mountain biking event returns to NBC. Now in its 12th year, Red Bull Rampage, one of the most intense events in action sports, once again dares riders to push the limits of what is possible on two wheels. This Sunday turn your holidays up a notch with a 90-minute highlight show of Rampage airing on NBC at 4:30 pm ET as part of the Red Bull Signature Series, a collection of the most innovative and progressive events in action sports.
Rampage brings some of the most accomplished freeride mountain bikers in the world to the steep and rugged cliffs of Virgin, Utah. Riders shape their own lines resulting in no two riders’ paths down the near-vertical sandstone ridges being the same. While there are start and finish arches, Red Bull Rampage isn’t a race. Judges look for a blend of speed, flow, style and difficulty of a riders’ chosen line to decide who comes out on top and takes home the prestigious title of Red Bull Rampage champion. This format ensures that Rampage delivers big airs, insane tricks and jaw-dropping action year after year.
Sal Masekela, the definitive voice in action sports, hosts the Red Bull Signature Series that is now in its sixth year on NBC. Rampage is brought to a national NBC audience in partnership with BFGoodrich Tires, DJI, Utah Sports Commission, GoRVing, Lifeproof, Polaris RZR and Camelback.
