TIBCO, Silicon Valley Bank Extend Sponsorship of Women’s Professional Cycling Team

Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank Announces 2018 Roster

Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank is Longest Running Women’s Professional Cycling Team in North America

Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank has announced the continued support of title sponsors TIBCO Software Inc and Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), as the team looks ahead to the 2020 Olympics.

One of the longest-running professional women’s cycling teams in the world, Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank partnered with TIBCO Software as a title sponsor in 2005, and Silicon Valley Bank in 2006, and has continued to build on these strong partnerships to develop one of the leading professional women’s cycling programs in the world.

With a full calendar that includes key races across North America and UCI Women’s World Tour (WWT) races around the globe, the team is driven to prepare aspiring athletes to achieve the highest level in sport.

“We are very excited to continue our partnerships with TIBCO and Silicon Valley Bank and to be expanding our program in preparation for Tokyo 2020,” said Linda Jackson, Olympian and Founder of Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank. “Our sponsors’ commitment to innovation, inclusiveness and diversity extends beyond the workplace to community-driven programs and ongoing support of women in sport.

“Our partnership with Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank provides us with an opportunity to engage in community events with employees and clients of SVB and showcase the inspiring stories of these women who are achieving the highest level in cycling,” said Greg Becker, chief executive officer of Silicon Valley Bank. “This team has been an inspiration in so many ways, and we’re proud to be extending our support.”

“We’re honored to have co-sponsored Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank, especially through their outstanding 2018 season. This team embodies the values we have at TIBCO, from their passion to their innovation to their optimism,” said Thomas Been, chief marketing officer, TIBCO. “We couldn’t be more excited to continue cheering on these talented athletes this season and in those to come.”

As part of the continued sponsorship agreements, joint marketing efforts, including local events and social media activities, will add to the brand exposure and community-focused engagement already achieved by TIBCO and Silicon Valley Bank.

Jackson continued, “TIBCO and SVB’s long-term support of women’s sports is what has enabled us to build this team from a local start-up in Palo Alto in 2005 to one of the top twenty teams in the world today. Our plan now is to continue to build on our Women’s World Tour calendar. With World Tour results that include Kendall Ryan’s victory on the first stage of the Amgen Tour of California, our team has shown that we are ready for the challenge. Brodie Chapman was just selected to represent Australia at the UCI World Championships, and we anticipate that we will have another rider selected for Worlds as well. We have a strong team of returning and new riders committed for 2019, and we’re excited for this next phase in our team’s development.”
