With gravel riding and racing on the rise, FSA has introduced the AGX product line of gravel specific products for the rise in technology that is entering the gravel market.

The FSA K-Force Modular AGX BB386EVO Crankset is a versatile crank that is modular by design should you need to swap out the outer CNC chainring.

When building up the Bottecchia Gravel Monster for an upgrade from the stock parts to drop weight and keep the efficiency of a strong but lightweight crankset, the FSA K-Force Modular AGX BB386EVO Crankset was at the top of list. The Team used the FSA Powerbox BB386EVO Carbon Crankset, which uses similar carbon crank arms are incredibly stiff and light with no noticeable flex to keep the power when pushing on the pedals. The crank arms are hollow carbon fiber arms with a UD finish to keep things looking the part.

These cranks had a massive weight savings from the original cranks for the upgrade. One of the things that keeps the cranks light but strong and efficient is the oversized BB386EVO aluminum forged AL7075 oversized spindle that is CNC machined.

The large chainring is CNC machined and anodized to give it a super clean look. The aluminum CNC machined single spider, which is weight saving in itself, allows for a stiffer chainring as it’s a aluminum one piece outer chainring.

It’s mated with a small alloy inner chainring and Torx T30 alloy chainring bolts to keep the weight low.

We built the bike up with a 170 crank length and a chainring combo of 32/48T, which offers a good ratio for finding an efficient gear that you can turn over well and feels perfect.

We also mated the upgrade build with the FSA Mega EVO threaded bottom bracket that gives it a nice clean look.
