The 3rd Annual JKC Memorial Hunte Parkway Road Race, which was hosted last weekend by the Padyak Racing Team (PRT), was a fun cycling event on a 5 kilometer course with fast rolling hills on the outskirts of the master planned community of Eastlake / Otay Ranch, in Chula Vista on Hunte Parkway.
Race Action
The Pro Men’s 1-3 Race came down to a four man breakaway with Juan Enrique Aldapa (Project 149 Development Cycling Team) taking the win. Giovanni Romero (iSpeed-Felt) finished in 2nd followed by Emmanuel Ramirez (Los Angeles Bicycle Academy) in 3rd and Bergen West (SoCalCycling.com Team) in 4th.
The Pro Women 1/3 Race also saw a field sprint finish that saw Aine Chen (San Diego Bicycle Club) take an impressive win ahead Colleen Gulick (Team Skyline) in 2nd and Susej Esqueda (Padyak Racing Team) in 3rd.
