The New Year is here and it is time to get the 2017 Southern California cycling season underway! This weekend gets things started with several great cycling events to participate in or spectate at!
The race season kicks off with the Icebreaker Grand Prix in Ontario on Sunday, January 15th. After a yearlong hiatus, racing returns to Ontario with a new, shorter course which should make things a little more exciting for the racers and spectators as the racers speed around the course more frequently.
If you are looking for variety, then the MoVal C-X-C Challenge offers a fun day in Moreno Valley on January 15th. The MoVal CycloCross is the final race in the 2016-17 Southern California CycloCross Winter Cross Fever Series. Race day will also include a Kiddie Cross Skills Course, Community Cross (Obstacle Course), Doggie Cross, Cross-A-Thon (Do 3: Run, CX, MTB) Dual-Athlon (Do 2! Run and Bike) and a short track mountain bike race and team relay.
