The Belgian Waffle Ride California, a Euro-style Spring Classic, provides a challenge and unparalleled experience that has made the event popular. The BWR attracts world-class cyclists from around the world and has a following of racers from gravel, cyclocross, road and mountain biking. It’s known for its difficulty similar to a Belgian Spring Classic.
The 2024 edition of the Belgian Waffle Ride California offered three ride options including the Waffle (120), Wafer (75 miles) and Wanna (35 miles).
The Waffle edition saw Matthew Beers (Specialized-Off-Road) and Sofia Gomez Villafane (Specialized-Off-Road) post the fastest times for prestigious wins in their respective category.
