CicLAvia West LA 2026 Photo Gallery
The first CicLAvia West LA 2026 event of 2026 brought thousands of cyclists, runners, skaters, walkers, and families together for a full day of car-free streets in West Los Angeles. On April 26, participants explored a three-mile open streets route along Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood Blvd while enjoying one of Southern California’s most popular active lifestyle events.
This photo gallery highlights scenes from the event, showcasing the energy, creativity, and community atmosphere that filled the streets throughout the day. Riders of all ages rolled through West LA while local residents and visitors gathered at activity hubs, rest areas, and community spaces along the route.
West LA Streets Transformed for a Day
For the event, sections of Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood Blvd were temporarily closed to vehicle traffic, creating a safe and welcoming environment for people to experience the city on foot, by bike, skateboard, scooter, and other people-powered transportation.
Participants traveled between community hubs that featured public activities, bike support stations, water refill locations, rest areas, and spaces for families and friends to gather. The relaxed atmosphere and open streets environment made the event accessible for riders and visitors of all experience levels.
Celebrating Southern California’s Open Streets Culture
Since launching in Los Angeles County in 2010, CicLAvia has helped promote community engagement, outdoor activity, and alternative transportation through large-scale open streets events across the region.
The 2026 West LA edition continued that tradition by bringing together local neighborhoods, businesses, and outdoor enthusiasts for a day centered around recreation, movement, and community connection.
