2027 Belgian Waffle Ride Calendar Announces Five Gravel Cycling Events

The 2027 Belgian Waffle Ride calendar features five destinations in Arizona, California, Utah, Montana and Mexico, with registration open.

Five destinations, distinctive Unroad adventures and a possible Colorado addition bring another year of waffles, wicked sectors and well-earned celebration.

Monuments of Cycling has announced the 2027 Belgian Waffle Ride calendar, with events in Arizona, California, Utah, Montana and Mexico. Registration has opened for the four U.S. events, inviting professional racers, dedicated amateurs and adventurous everyday riders to choose their next helping of Unroad.

Belgian Waffle Ride Enters Its 16th Season in 2027

Entering its 16th season, BWR continues the tradition that began in Southern California in 2012: Belgian waffles before the start, wonderfully demanding riding across changing surfaces, and a finish worth staying around for. Each destination supplies its own character, with courses weaving pavement, gravel, dirt, sand and trails into an experience that tests endurance, handling, equipment choices and the ability to keep making good decisions when the legs begin suggesting otherwise.

Michael Marckx, founder of the Belgian Waffle Ride and CEO of Monuments of Cycling said:

We started with Belgian roots, a fascination with the Spring Classics and an unreasonable affection for waffles, bicycles and beer. Sixteen years later, the pleasure is seeing how many people have made this peculiar idea their own. Every destination gives us new terrain to explore and another opportunity to bring good people together over a difficult day on the bike.

Waffle, Wafer and Wanna Distances Offer Options for Every Rider

The full-distance Waffle, middle-distance Wafer and shorter Wanna offer different ways into the experience. Riders can chase a podium, pursue a personal milestone or simply discover how much adventure fits between breakfast and a Belgian ale. The Unroad Expo, supported riding and post-ride festivities make each weekend a gathering for riders, friends, families and cycling partners.
