Product Review: Camelbak Podium Bottle
By Frank Sarate, SoCalCycling.com

You may know Camelbak for making their innovative hydration packs, which are great for many types of sporting activities. Recently, Camelbak ventured into making water bottles and they have raised the bar when it comes to producing quality water bottles.

When you consider making upgrades to your riding equipment, a water bottle may not be high on your list. However, if you get the chance to upgrade your bottles to a Camelbak Podium Bottle you may never go back to a standard bottle.

I recently had the opportunity to use the 21oz Camelbak Podium Bottle, which also comes in a larger 24oz size.  The first thing you will notice is the unique looking Jet Valve on the cap of the bottle.  The Jet Valve is a revolutionary self-sealing valve that allows liquids to leave the bottle with high flow rate without leaking on you or your equipment.  Just think how much time you can save by not having to clean your bike from energy drink splatter from your current bottle.

When you arer racing you don’t have to think about closing the top of your bottle so your bottle doesn’t splatter all over everything. All you have to do with the Camelbak Podium Bottle is squeeze and you get liquid flowing into your mouth and not your equipment.

Camelbak also has an additional lockout for when you are transporting your bottle in a car a gym bag.  Just twist the top and you are all locked up for transporting and will avoid those unwanted bottle leaks.

The Podium Bottles are of 100% BPA-Free.  This makes for a healthier drinking water bottle. The Podium Bottle also is made with TruTaste polypropylene, which lets you taste your water, not your bottle. The Podium Bottle is lined with HydroGuard to inhibit the growth of bacteria that can cause odors, discoloration or deterioration of the bottle surface.

With all these features the Camelbak Podium Bottle also looks great too. You can even have custom printing on your Camelbak Podium Bottles through there Private Label Program.

These bottles can be purchased from bike shops including InCycle. For more info please visit camelbak.com.
