The 16th Annual Barrio Logan Grand Prix takes place May 5th in Downtown San Diego near Petco Park and the Gaslamp District where riders will vye for $5000 and primes. The Barrio Logan Grand Prix hosts the Junior Criterium Championships, which is part of the Lance Armstrong Junior Race Series. The BLGP offers Kid’s races that are the biggest in the country and gives away over 200 helmets every year. The Barrio Logan Grand Prix features a “very exciting figure 8 course” in one of San Diego oldest communities, Barrio Logan. According to Race Promoter and Race Announcer Ralph Elliott, “You have to be good to win at the Barrio Logan Grand Prix, an old school downtown criterium course!”
