Network For Advancing Athletes to Host Free Women’s Cycling Clinic


Network for Advancing Athletes, a non-profit dedicated to mentorship for female athletes is joining up with the Nosco Ride this year to put on a free women’s cycling clinic on November 1st in Newbury Park at Mavic’s La Maison Jaune; speakers include Olympian Dotsie Bausch, coach and mentor Joy McCulloch, pro cyclist Janel Holcomb, pro mechanic Sarah Lamb, and Professional road cyclist Amber Pierce, who is the founder of the Network For Advancing Athletes. The clinic is designed to help women improve their cycling, but also to prepare and build confidence for the Nosco Ride. The clinic’s hopes to help increase participation in the Nosco Ride by women. Anyone is welcome to come for the clinic, and there is no requirement that they also do the Nosco Ride.

Clinic Schedule
9:00am
Coffee and mingling!

9:30am – 11:30am
Presentations and Q&A with speakers Dotsie, Janel, Joy, Amber and Sarah.

12:00pm
Roll out for a fun, social ride (15-20 easy miles; route TBA) from La Maison Jaune with Mavic ride support.

2:00pm – 3:00pm
Learn some great tips on bike cleaning & maintenance from Sarah Lamb and explore Mavic’s La Maison Jaune (The Yellow House) and chat with the speakers.
