Former World Champion & Rio Olympian Kirsten Wild Signs with Cylance Pro Cycling


In its mission to continue to grow women’s cycling worldwide, Cylance Pro Cycling has announced the signing of Kirsten Wild for 2017.  After previously making a winning combination with Cylance Pro Cycling Director Sportif, Manel Lacambra, Wild returns to work with her former DS and will increase the depth and experience of Cylance Pro Cycling.

Kirsten Wild is one of the most accomplished women in professional cycling known for her powerhouse sprint. “To have the best sprinter in the world,” added Lacambra, “will be a great advantage to bring success at the races next season. Her experience will help our young riders to continue their development in sport. We are very pleased to have her with us.”

Wild, 33, from the Netherlands, has twice represented her country in the in Olympics where she raced team pursuit in London 2012 and the omnium in Rio 2016. Having raced professionally since 2006, she has amassed numerous titles and podium finishes in road, track and team time trial events at National, European, and World Championships including the 2015 Scratch World Championship.

Wild is also a force to be reckoned with in all road disciplines. With her team in 2016, Wild won impressive UCI stages around world, including Ladies Tour of Qatar, Energiewacht Tour, Amgen Tour of California, Women’s Tour de Yorkshire Race and Prudential RideLondon Classique.

This is the first step in bolstering the 2017 Cylance Pro Cycling team with amazing talent and provide opportunities for riders to be inspired to achieve their goals while inspiring communities worldwide.
