The 2021 Tour de Murrieta presented by Wine Ranch Grill and Cellars featured action-packed racing on the streets of Murrieta’s Old Town throughout the day on Saturday on a technical course.
The racing was fast throughout the day with the June heat adding a challenging new dimension that took a toll on the riders and saw a high attrition rate.
The Pro 1/2 race came down to a field sprint that saw Ama Nsek (Legion of Los Angeles) cross the line first for the win with Dante Young in second and Eduardo Cruz (SoCalCycling.com Team) finishing 3rd to round out the podium.
In the Women’s race, Shelby Reynolds (Monster Racing Team) took the win ahead of Hayley Bates in 2nd followed by Esther Walker (SDBC Powered by Spinergy p/b UC Cyclery) in 3rd for the podium spots.
