This weekend features some great cycling events in Southern California with the return of 40th Annual Boulevard Road Race & the first year Go Fast in Upland Criterium.
40th Annual Boulevard Road Race – May 11th
Celebrate 40 years of cycling history at the iconic Boulevard Road Race Est. in 1984. Held this year on May 11, 2024, at the Golden Acorn casino. Race alongside professional cyclists as well as current Olympians, former professional cyclists and today’s highest-level Masters racers.
The Boulevard Road Race is an iconic road race in the backcountry of San Diego. Its first debut in 1984 puts this event at 40 years running in San Diego. The race offers a 22 mile loop on deserted back country roads with a rolling uphill climb and a smooth fast descent. Race categories list 44, 66, or 88-mile options with 1800 ft of climbing per lap.
Team Challenge: Debuting this year, teams compete for a $1,000 prize, showcasing strategy and teamwork.
Prizes: Race for a $3,000 Prize Purse and medals in various categories.
Campers are OK: Bring your motorhome or trailer and camp at the race site Friday night.
Team Competition – New for 2024 is a Team Competition with an individual prize purse of $1,000 paid to the club or team that scores the highest combined USA Cycling Points for the day across all fields.

The Go Fast in Upland Criterium is a new criterium that looks to be a fun addition to the SoCal Bike Racing Calendar. The Go Fast in Upland Criterium will be held on a dynamic .5 mile long course with nine turns at Memorial Park in Upland, California.
