Chuck Pontius Memorial Criterium Presented By Go Fast
With temperatures reaching over 90 degrees, the Chuck Pontius Memorial Criterium Presented by Go Fast made for a challenging race on the fast .7 mile course.
Men’s Pro 1/2 Race
In the Men’s Pro 1/2 Race, Cory Lockwood (Miami Blazers Team) and Jacob Timmerman (Terun Elite) escaped from the field in a two man breakaway and lapped the field. Lockwood then escaped from Timmerman and soloed in for the win. Timmerman’s Terun Elite Team tried to bring back Lockwood to no avail. Timmerman held on for 2nd and his teammate Matt Mikul rounded out the podium for 3rd.
Women Pro 1-3
In the Women Pro 1-3 race Thialor Mize (Monarch Racing) took the win ahead of Sarah Blazic (Serious Cycling) in 2nd and Philine Endres (Incycle Team) in 3rd.
