Small California Company Takes on Nike and Wins Gold

While most US Olympic disciplines choose international brands constructed overseas to make their uniforms, USA Cycling went with a small US company whose owner, Dave Marietti, had a hand in making BMX racing what it is today.

The first-ever US BMX Gold medalist Connor Fields is traveling to Hot Shoppe Designs in San Clemente, CA to personally say thanks for the uniform he wore, made by Hot Shoppe Designs, when he won Rio Gold last month. Connor will be at Hot Shoppe Designs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, September 16th.

Owner Dave Marietti founded Hot Shoppe Designs in 1984 after a professional career in BMX. Dave is still an avid cyclist 30+ years later, and we is proud that 100% of Hot Shoppe Designs custom athletic apparel is manufactured in Southern California for a variety of actions sports from motocross to cycling to auto racing to surfing.
